Nothing important in here, just felt like making a new journal!
The past couple of weeks I've been following Twitch Plays Pokemon, and yesterday night it finally ended! I have to admit I'm pretty sad to have not witnessed our victory, or any gym battles. I actually woke up at 3 in the morning on accident and decided to check on the game since I was up, and I was an hour late. And I really wanted to see the beginning of the next game, to see how we start out and what starter we choose, but it looks like that'll also happen at like 2 in the morning for me. :T I can't stay up that late or wake up that early... It's probably because the creator is in Australia.
BUT, I had a lot of fun so I can't complain! I was amazed with all the things we managed to slowly accomplish, the strategy and effort and organization people put into the game, the dedication of the players, the teamwork we managed, the wonderful lore we managed to write, the fan art, the fan sites, the fan music, and beating the game with a group of pokemon whose stats, apparently, sucked. Just the sheer number of people I got to play alongside, all watching and reacting to the same successes and failures as me, was fun! Even if I don't know the vast majority of them personally.
It also taught me that I'm glad I live in a democratic country, and that even if progress is slow it goes in the right direction.
I don't know how closely school will let me follow the next adventure, but I'll never forget the past weeks!
